Omaha, NE – Bridgepoint Investment Banking, a leading boutique impact investment banking firm, is excited to announce our newest team member.
Perry Worden joins the Bridgepoint team full-time as an Investment Banking Analyst after sharing his talents with our team for approximately a year and a half as an intern.
A native of the Kansas City area, Perry is passionate about the Midwest region and the middle market businesses which form the backbone of its communities. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking big meals, and is a self-proclaimed bourbon connoisseur. Perry recently graduated from Creighton University in May 2021 with a BSBA in Finance – Financial Analysis where he was involved in numerous research projects and organizations.
In addition to his prior internship at Bridgepoint, Perry’s participation in several organizations and relevant coursework have prepared him for his new role as an Analyst. His experience and accolades include:
Co-Founder, Vice President – Creighton Investment Banking Society
Dean’s List (Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021)
Dean’s Honor Roll for Social Responsibility
Gail Werner-Robertson Research Fellows in the Institute for Economic Inquiry (Economic Development on Indigenous Lands)
Winner of the 2021 Creighton University Research Week Award “Best Platform Presentation – Humanities”
Menard Family Business Research Fellow in the Institute for Economic Inquiry
Encounter Retreat Coordinator with Creighton Campus Ministry
Perry’s favorite parts of his internship at Bridgepoint included the ability to work hands-on in multiple sell-side and capital raising transactions, interacting with clients and developing professional skills by working among the bullpen, Managing Directors and Bridgepoint’s leadership, Matt & Natasha Plooster. He emphasized the value of learning about the deal-making process and the importance of doing right by the client 100% of the time through honesty and integrity. His commitment to Bridgepoint’s core values has made Perry an integral member of the Bridgepoint team.
“I have found the deal-making process and our ability to positively impact the lives of our clients to be very rewarding and exciting experiences. Working in investment banking allows me to expand on each of the skills I have developed and challenges me to think critically, develop a more tenacious work ethic, and take ownership in each of our transactions. Bridgepoint has provided me a platform to grow in this industry and I’m excited for the plethora of experiences I will have as an Analyst with future transactions and organizational growth,” Perry commented.
His advice to future Bridgepoint interns:
“I would tell future Bridgepoint interns the exact thing I have told other interns that have been a successor to me, and that is to be a sponge and to be tenacious. It is important that Bridgepoint interns soak up each of their experiences in order to learn how to fit in with our culture and become a better investment banking professional. Although there might be some late nights, the rewards from working hard and growing as a professional will stick with you for a lifetime.”
We look forward to helping Perry achieve his career goals at Bridgepoint: aid in our growth in new markets, become more knowledgeable about the sectors we serve and the leveraged finance and M&A advisory services we provide and positively impact the community through the giving of time, talent and treasure.

Omaha, NE – Bridgepoint Investment Banking, a national full-service boutique investment bank, has relocated its headquarters to the newly-renovated Landmark Center in downtown Omaha. The new headquarters positions the growing investment bank to accelerate attracting top talent to Nebraska from across the country and provide its capital raising and M&A solutions to more business owners throughout the region.
The move comes after a year of explosive growth. Despite the challenges of the pandemic faced by companies everywhere, Bridgepoint grew its investment banking team by 50%, attracting talent to Omaha from Chicago, Dallas and Florida during the pandemic. The firm also established its presence in the Mountain West region by opening a new office in Denver. Given the continued growth, the investment bank’s leadership realized it was time to expand their space to better serve their clients and employees and to recruit additional investment bankers to Nebraska.
Bridgepoint found its new home in the recently-renovated Landmark Center, in the heart of downtown Omaha’s growth and revitalization efforts.
“We are excited to be part of the revitalization taking place in downtown Omaha. From the transformation of the Riverfront, the return of the hustle and bustle in the Old Market, and the exciting upgrades to the Landmark Center, we’re humbled to be in the center of it all,” said Matt Plooster, founder and CEO of Bridgepoint Investment Banking.
On the floors below Bridgepoint’s new office space, Landmark Center’s latest upgrades include a 120-room boutique hotel, The Farnam Hotel, as well as two new high-end dining and cocktail establishments, Dynamite Woodfire Grill and Catalyst. The proximity of the hotel, dining and entertainment options, and activity surrounding the area create a vibrant, upscale atmosphere for Bridgepoint and the Landmark Center’s existing tenants.
“The transformation of the Landmark Center has created a new hub for dining and entertainment while providing a world-class venue for locally-headquartered companies like Bridgepoint to attract top talent to Omaha,” said Jason Fisher, President of the Lund Company and mastermind behind the Landmark project.
“The Landmark Center is the perfect home for the next stages of Bridgepoint’s growth, and we feel fortunate to offer these amenities to our clients and employees in one of Omaha’s premier buildings,” added Plooster.
From its new headquarters, Bridgepoint plans to continue growing its team, explore new markets for its capital raising and M&A advisory solutions, and further expand its dedication to community impact and value creation.

As the 2021-2022 school year begins, Bridgepoint is excited to welcome Tommy Ransom to the team as our school year intern. Tommy joins Nick Callahan from our 2021 summer intern class to work alongside our team.
A native of Plymouth, MN, Tommy enjoys hunting, fly fishing, golf and anything outdoors. He is a junior at Creighton University studying accounting and financial analytics. With several courses in accounting, finance, BIA, statistics, calculus and management already under his belt, Tommy is eager to dive into the world of investment banking as well as develop professional skills that he will carry with him throughout his career.
Tommy is captivated by the competitive and fast-paced nature of investment banking and wants to pursue a career that will push him to be his best, so he fits right in with Bridgepoint’s culture of continuous self-improvement and passionate pursuit of excellence.
Throughout his career in finance, Tommy hopes to learn how to start, grow and run a successful company in hopes of starting his own outdoor recreation company one day.
The Bridgepoint team is looking forward to helping Tommy grow as a young professional and explore the world of investment banking!
As the summer of 2021 draws to a close, Bridgepoint’s class of summer interns has been reflecting on what they learned during their investment banking internship and the advice they’d give to future interns in the competitive field of investment banking.
Our summer intern class included University of Nebraska-Lincoln student Nick Callahan, Creighton University student Noah Schalley and Brigham Young University student Owen Jensen. These interns quickly became an important part of the Bridgepoint team and we are grateful for their efforts this summer!
Below, they share what they learned and enjoyed about their internship and the advice they would give to future interns.
What are the top things you learned during your summer internship with Bridgepoint?
Noah: I learned how to value a business using public comparables, transaction comparables, DCF and LBO, how to position a company within a pitchbook, teaser and CIP, plus a vast amount of information about the healthcare and technology sectors.
Owen: My internship at Bridgepoint was as much of an opportunity to improve technical skills as it was to improve interpersonal communication skills. I was grateful to further my PowerPoint, Word and Excel capabilities but more so for the opportunity to collaborate with an incredibly dedicated team. Although I had already had a previous investment banking internship, Bridgepoint gave me an inside look at the dynamic work environment of an investment bank and sold me on the career path.
Nick: Throughout my summer at Bridgepoint, I learned a variety of skills that I will take with me throughout my entire career. Some of the top things that I learned throughout the summer at Bridgepoint include: forming a deep understanding of the big picture (deal process, valuation, strategy, negotiation), best practices while managing client relationships, and valuable technical skills.
What have been your favorite parts of your internship?
Noah: My favorite part about my internship was the people. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone on this great team.
Owen: The highlight of my Bridgepoint internship was the opportunity to collaborate with others on the team. Every day I was fortunate enough to work with both junior and senior bankers alike who were always ready to answer my questions and help me out. Because of these collaborative efforts, I was able to do a large amount of work on live deals. There is no better way to learn about the industry than working on live engagements with the experts themselves.
Nick: My favorite aspect of the Bridgepoint internship has been the significant responsibilities given to interns. The team is very open to hearing what interns feel they need more experience with / want to get their hands on and tasks them accordingly.
How would you describe the experience to future Bridgepoint interns?
Noah: I would describe this experience as fast-paced. Be ready to hit the ground running and learn a lot.
Owen: In one sentence I would describe my Bridgepoint experience as: “A fully comprehensive and immersive look into the world of investment banking, working with others to solve real problems and help companies achieve their goals.” I felt like I exited the internship more aware of the industry and able to understand how it works.
Nick: The Bridgepoint experience gives you the knowledge and experience to quickly advance in your career. As an intern, you take on significant responsibilities within live transactions, modeling, client relationships and more that allow you to quickly learn skills that can be taken with you for the entirety of your career.
What advice would you give to future interns?
Noah: “You are surrounded by a very intelligent team – appreciate every moment and learn from them.”
Owen: “Be a sponge. Although you may not understand everything that is going on, a lot can be learned from just being in the room where decisions are made. Make sure you are embracing these opportunities to learn from other people. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, the Bridgepoint team wants to see you succeed and will therefore be willing to answer any and every question you have.”
Nick: “Become a student during your time at Bridgepoint. The firm has many highly experienced professionals who have valuable advice and experience that any intern can learn a great amount from.”
Nick Callahan will continue his internship with Bridgepoint, joining Creighton University student Tommy Ransom as our 2021/2022 school year interns. Learn more about Tommy here.

Bridgepoint Investment Banking today announced it has been ranked No. 1448 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list, the annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The list is the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s most successful independent and entrepreneurial businesses, recognizing companies that have achieved remarkable growth while driving innovation, creating jobs, and shaping the future of the economy.
“Every ranking is nice, but what it reflects is what matters to us: the deals our clients trusted us with, and the work our team put in to earn that trust,” said Matt Plooster, Founder and CEO of Bridgepoint Investment Banking. “We started this firm on a simple conviction – that founders and families deserve the same caliber of advice as the world’s largest companies, without the conflicts. This recognition belongs to our team, who do the work, and to our clients, who gave us the chance to do it with them.”
This year’s Inc. 5000 recognizes a new class of companies redefining what growth looks like. From AI and advanced manufacturing to healthcare, consumer products, and professional services, these businesses are expanding their impact, creating jobs and proving that entrepreneurial ambition continues to fuel the U.S. economy. Among the 5,000 companies on the list, the median three-year revenue growth rate was 130%, and those companies have collectively added more than 627,208 jobs to the U.S. economy over the past three years.
